Kari has studied dance her entire life and the art of moving is something she constantly craves. She was first introduced to the Pilates method in college and was impressed by the exacting and intuitive approach it had on maintaining and healing her body throughout a rigorous dance program.
After receiving a BS in Dance and Arts Administration from Butler University, Kari launched her professional dance career both domestically and abroad. She has performed in cities all across the United States including 10 years as a Radio City Rockette.
Now spending her time in the Pilates studio, Kari strives to deliver sessions that are centering, filled with good humor and tailored to each individual client's needs. She tries to create a fluid balance between challenge and relaxation, shaping a 55-minute session that is exacting, centering and invigorating.
In her own Pilates practice, Kari remains a forever student committed to learning from some of the industry’s most notable teachers across the country. Out of Town Pilates came out of a dream in 2018. A cross-country road trip to find her next home (after living in big cities dancing professionally since college) was born.
Kari visited numerous studios all with different methodologies and finally landed in Nashville (her last stop!) in 2019. Every place she's traveled has had a profound effect on the way she teaches and looks at the body. While focusing on Authentic Pilates, Kari works with the body in front of her to give you the best lesson that day according to your needs. Because of the spontaneity that results session after session, you will never have the same session twice with what Kari brings from her Out Of Town experience!
